Stuffed exotic birds at the Natural History Museum of Coimbra, Portugal.

(Aves exóticas empalhadas no Museu de História Natural de Coimbra)

This photo is my entry for deviantART Contest - Natural Colors.

Here is a collection of beautiful and colorful exotic birds brought by Portuguese explorers in their travels around the world.
I guess it fits perfectly on the subject. I just made only a very slight improvement of color to overcome the effect of the glass reflection and added a watermark.

The idea was good, but it diddint turn out very well. Expecially the reflection of light is bad. But it's really an interesting exhibition.

You may be right about the less good effect of that unlucky reflection.:D

At that time, given lighting conditions inside the museum, with intense beams of light in the windows and out of them, I think the result was very successful. Furthermore, it is the living proof that there was no artifice in obtaining the photo or extraordinary embellishments as fancy filters, or other.

What you see is just what was there, and even my very slight accent color does not do justice to the natural colors of that birds you see in the picture, which is a key objective of the contest, besides having vibrant colors of course!

Most of the times we really don't take natural great conditions to obtain that amazing photos we see elsewhere. So the great natural shots are somehow rare, so we have to rejoice with the best possible compromise along with the maximum effort.

Many thanks for your feedback! I sincerely appreciated your critique view.
